Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment

ITZCULTURE, Inc. is committed to ensuring that our platform is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to online shopping, and we continuously work to improve the accessibility of itzculture.com in accordance with established standards and best practices.

Conformance Standard

We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines provide a framework for making web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

While we aim for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, we recognize that accessibility is an ongoing effort and we are continually improving our platform.

Accessibility Features

Our platform currently includes the following accessibility features:

Navigation and Structure:

  • Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy (h1-h6)
  • Skip navigation links to bypass repetitive content
  • Consistent navigation layout across all pages
  • Breadcrumb trails for complex page hierarchies
  • Logical tab order throughout all interactive elements

Visual Design:

  • Sufficient color contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
  • Information is never conveyed by color alone
  • Responsive design supporting browser zoom up to 400% without loss of content
  • Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
  • Clear, readable fonts at accessible sizes

Interactive Elements:

  • Full keyboard navigation support — all features are accessible without a mouse
  • ARIA labels and roles on all interactive components
  • Form fields with associated labels and clear error messages
  • Descriptive link text (no "click here" links)
  • Accessible dropdown menus and modal dialogs
  • Touch targets of at least 44x44 pixels on mobile

Media and Images:

  • Alt text on all platform images and icons
  • Decorative images properly marked as presentational
  • No auto-playing audio or video content
  • Text alternatives for non-text content

Assistive Technology Compatibility:

  • Compatible with popular screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS)
  • Works with voice recognition software (Dragon NaturallySpeaking)
  • Compatible with browser extensions for accessibility
  • Supports text-to-speech and magnification tools

Known Limitations

We are aware of the following accessibility limitations and are actively working to address them:

  • Seller-uploaded images: Some product images uploaded by sellers may lack descriptive alt text. We encourage all sellers to provide alt text and are building automated tools to assist.
  • Third-party payment forms: The Stripe checkout iframe is controlled by Stripe and may have accessibility variations. Stripe maintains its own accessibility compliance program.
  • Legacy content: Some older product descriptions may not use semantic markup. We are progressively updating these.
  • Complex data visualizations: Some seller analytics charts may have limited screen reader support. We are implementing data tables as alternatives.

Accessibility Testing

We regularly test our platform for accessibility using:

  • Automated scanning tools (axe-core, Lighthouse)
  • Manual keyboard-only navigation testing
  • Screen reader testing with VoiceOver and NVDA
  • User testing with people with disabilities
  • Third-party accessibility audits (conducted annually)
